Disability no excuse for innocence, court tells rape accused
A court has refused to consider disability as defense from a disabled a disabled man accused of rape.
The accused had claimed in court that since he is disabled, he is too weak to able to rape the complainant.
However the court said that disability cannot be used as an excuse in this case and the evidence was against the accused.
The court said that being disabled does not prove that the accused was physically weaker than the woman.
As per reports, the woman is the wife of the accused’s younger brother. They shared a house and the accused’s wife is dead but he has daughters.
The woman accused him of forcing her into oral sex.
The court has found the accused guilty and will soon announce his punishment.
