CBSE to set up counselling helpline ahead of board exams
The Central Board of Secondary Education will offer psychological counselling services to students at the time of preparation as well as during exams to overcome exam related stress. Students can get this service between 1 February and 13 April.
CBSE said its annual counselling is an outreach programme which caters to the vast students’ population and network of schools. It will offer tele-counselling by principals and trained counsellors from within CBSE-affiliated schools in and outside India.
“This year 91 Principals, trained counsellors from CBSE affiliated government and private schools, few psychologists and Special Educators will participate in tele-counselling and address exam related psychological problems of the students. 71 of them are available in India while 20 are located abroad”- CBSE
Students can dial a centralised toll-free number 1800 11 8004 to reach the helpline. The helpline will work from 8 AM to 10 PM. Students can also mail their queries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students with disabilities can also get the services of special educators who will be available.
