India beat South Africa in 2nd one-day match, lead series 2-0
Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli led India to a nine-wicket victory over South Africa in the second one day match. South Africa put up a poor score of 119 runs, which India managed to chase down with 29.3 overs to spare.
This takes India to a 2-0 lead in the six-match series
Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first, and bowlers Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav were a handful for the South Africans. They helped bundle the visitors out for 118 in 32.2 overs. It was the lowest total ever scored on this ground.
Dhawan and Kohli added an unbeaten 93 runs for the second wicket. Dhawan hit nine fours in his 56 runs while Kohli made 46 off 50 balls.
There was some mid-game drama when the game was stopped for lunch with India needing just two runs to win. To the astonishment of players, spectators and commentators, the umpires ordered a 40-minute lunch break.
