24 hour police helpline launched in Palghar for senior citizens
A 24 hour helpline number has been launched in Palghar, Maharashtra for the elderly people of the region.
The helpline number 8669609544 has been started by the Palghar police with the aim of helping out older people who are facing issues such as legal, medical and financial problems.
The Superintendent of police Manjunath Shinge and additional SP Raj Tilak Roshan had met more than 2000 senior citizens last month and promised to provide a dedicated helpline for them.
The number will be attended by a dedicated team and one officer and few staff members will be coordinating with all the police stations of Palghar district to reach the seniors at a particular area with help.
Work has also been started to set up specialized teams in all the police stations of the region to attend to problems of senior citizens.
