Virat among top 5 run-getters for India in one-day internationals
Virat Kohli's dream performance with the bat continues in the current ODI series against South Africa. He scored 75 runs in Johannesburg, and also entered the list of top five run-getters for India in ODIs.
The 29-year-old has crossed former captain Azharuddin and he now has 9,423 runs to his name in ODI format. The list is topped by Sachin Tendulkar who has scored 18,426 runs and is followed by Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni at number two, three and four respectively.
Ganguly has a total of 11,221 runs in his ODI career while Dravid has scored 10,768. Dhoni is few runs away from getting to 10,000-run mark with 9,738 runs.
Kohli has been in great form in this tour as he has smashed two 100s and a 50 in four ODI matches.The Indian captain came out in the middle at number three spot on Saturday after Rohit Sharma was out early. Kohli alongside Shikhar Dhawan put together a partnership of 158 runs for the second wicket.
