Premature babies have lesser number of friends, says research

Premature babies tend to have lesser number of friends, a new research claims.

The babies that are born before the full term of nine months are known to have intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The study now states that these babies may also face challenges in their socializing skills as they grow up.

Premature babies find it difficult to get along with other children in the early pre-school levels as they are not easily accepted.

As per the experts, preterm births affect the factors such as physical development, learning, communicating with others, getting along with others and taking care of themselves.

However, this is not permanent and they tend to become more social after some years.
