17 people killed in school shooting incident in the United States
A heavily armed 19-year-old student, who had been expelled from a school in South Florida in the United States, opened fire on campus, killing 17 students.
The suspect, Nikolas Cruz, was captured after a manhunt that went on for many hours. The victims were several students and adults.
Cruz came to school heavily armed and started firing even before he entered the premises. Among those killed was a football coach.
Cruz had left many social media postings that showed signs of a disturbed mind, say authorities. When caught he had six rifles and handguns.
This is at least the third school shooting in 2018 in the U.S., and the deadliest ever.
