Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue features amputee athlete as model for the first time

Snowboarder Brenna Huckaby is all set to be the model for the 2018 Sports ‘Illustrated’ Swimsuit issue. She is the first amputee to be featured in this way in this well known .

Brenna, who is also a Paralympian, is a famous for her achievements in snowboarding and is very excited to try out this new role. She said that she decided to wear a swimsuit and pose for a photo shoot to send out the message that it is important to be comfortable in your own body and feel positive about it.

Seventeen months ago Brenna gave birth to a baby girl and she said that she started becoming comfortable in her own body after becoming a mom. As kid, she used to wear shorts with her swimsuits because she was conscious of her body. The birth of her baby girl made her realize that a woman's body is more than a mere object

Brenna will soon be seen at PyeongChang for the Paralympics. She lost her legs in 2010 because of bone cancer. The lady is certainly making a huge impact in the lives of many women by sharing her life stories.
