Amitabh Bachchan & Kangana Ranaut to act in biopic on amputee Arunima Sinha

Bollywood’s iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan will soon be seen in a movie based on the life of Arunima Sinha, the first Indian amputee to climb up the Mount Everest.

The movie is reportedly a project of director R Balki who has also directed movies such as Paa, Dear Zindagi and the recently released Padman.

The director has reached out to Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut to play the role of the amputee protagonist Arunima Sinha.

Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of a coach in the movie who performs the duty of a mentor for Kangana’s character in the film.

This is not be the first time that Balki has decided to make a movie on disability.

His movie Paa had a character with progeria, while in Shamitabh, actor Dhanush played a deaf and mute character.

Dear Zindagi also explored the life of a character with mental health issues played by Alia, who consults a psychiatrist Shahrukh Khan.

The upcoming project will portray an inspirational story and the star cast is already inciting interest about the project in the audience.
