Justin Trudeau reaches India for 7 day visit
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family are in India for a 7 day tour. The minister and his family reached India on the evening of 17th of February. Justin Trudeau is here to improve the economic, cultural and political relations between India and Canada.
Canada’s second largest source of immigration is India and there are many Indians who call Canada their home with more than 1.4 million Indians living in Canada. Justin said that he wants to make the relations between India and Canada stronger after this visit .
The Prime Minister has 5 ministers of Indian origin in his cabinet. Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan, Infrastructure Minister Amarjeet Sohi, Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, Science and Sports Minister Kirsty Duncan, Science and Economic Development Minister Navdeep Bains are the Indian origin ministers in the Canadian ministry.
Justin Trudeau and his family will also be visiting cultural monuments of the country . The ionic Taj Mahal, Akshardham temple in Gujarat, Golden temple in Amritsar and Jama Masjid in Delhi are some of the main places that the PM and his family are going to visit.
The PM will also be visiting the Indian Institute of Management to talk about ‘Education and Investment Opportunities’. Justin Trudeau and his family will leave India on the 25th of February.
