Jaipur Foot Camp's United States branch holds camp for disabled
A camp for disabled people was organised on Sunday at Nakoda Jain pilgrimage by Jaipur Foot US of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti.
The camp was organised in collaboration with Kanakraj Golia, resident of Jodhpur, who lives in New York. Aids were distributed to people with disabilities after screening by experts and diagnoses their respective needs.
Vinod Rawat, who has climbed the Himalayas using an artificial Jaipur foot, also attended the camp. BSF’s DG KK Sharma and Lokayukta of Rajasthan SS Kothari were also present in the camp.
Vinod lost his leg as a six-year-old child in an accident.
His life was changed when he got fitted with the artificial Jaipur foot. Since then, he as climbed mountains, ran marathons, created records and also rode bicycles at the height of 20 thousand feet on the Himalayas.
