India defeated Nepal in 1st match of CCL Cup, for physically disabled players

India defeated Nepal by nine wickets on Day One of the three-match CCL Cup, for physically disabled players.

The first match was played at the Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) grounds in Kanke in Ranchi on Wednesday.

The match was played in the format of Twenty20 format. The disabled players of the team from Nepal batted first and were all out after 45 runs. A one-handed batsman from Nepal, Ram Adhikary, contributed 21 runs to his team’s score.

From the Indian side Kailash Prasad took 5 wickets while Bipul Sengupta managed 3 and Mandeep Singh took 2 wickets. Subhro Joardar and Jeet Sen remained not out with 20 and 13 runs.

Indian team lost one wicket to reach the target and won the match with a splendid performance.

The three match series between India and Nepal has been organised by the Disabled Sports and Jan Utthan Samiti of Ranchi and will end today.
