Railway Recruitment - Exam fee for PwD to be refunded

The Indian Railway Recruitment Board has relaxed the minimum qualification requirment for Group D exams.

As per the latest notification issued by the railways, Class 10 is the minimum qualification needed for a candidate to fill RRB Group D forms.

Railways had recently released the details of 89,409 posts for Group C and Level I posts that include hiring for helpers and trackmen, among others.

Candidates appearing from the disabled category and SC / ST / / Ex-servicemen / Women / Minorities / Economically Backward Classes will be charged rupees 250 as examination fees.

The whole of this amount will be refunded to those candidates from these categories who appear for the exam.

The fees will ensure that only serious candidates appear for the filling of the vacancies.

Until last year, the minimum qualification was Class 10 and Industrial Training Institute or equivalent certificate.

Railways has changed the criteria now and industrial training certificate has been dropped as a hiring qualification and only Class 10 as the minimum qualification to fill up the posts is now needed.

The recruitment by the railways is being done after a gap of 4 years and lots of new changes and relaxations have been made to the posting process.

The question papers will be provided in 15 languages - Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.

This year the candidates will also be allowed to sign their names in any language instead of only in Hindi or English.
