Do you give up healthy habits often? Here is some help

Many of us aspire to follow healthy habits & lifestyle and most times we plan to follow suit by creating a routine.

However, we tend to relapse after a few days of following the routine and then go back to our previous habits. Then we stop doing the workout and start eating unhealthy again!

If this happens often and you feel demotivated then it is time the problem is identified.Here are some things that may help understand the underlying issues.

  1. Try and understand what exactly happened to send you back to your old habits. Was it an illness, or some other obstacle like travelling, going on vacation or emotional issues.

  2. Once you know what caused he relapse, stat making plans to tackle the circumstances in the future. Make arrangements to do exercises even when you travel or are on vacations.

  3. Take one step at a time and do not over expect the results. Start off with a simple habit such as walking every day or climbing the stairs. You can gradually make the habit more challenging once you get used to it.

  4. Always try and remember what got you started in the first place. That should always be your inspiration to keep going.
