Special counter for disabled people opens in Hoshiarpur, Punjab

A special counter has been launched for disabled people at the District Administrative Complex in Hoshiarpur in Punjab.

The counter can be accessed by people with disabilities to resolve their pension-related issues.

Deputy Commissioner Vipul Ujwal launched the counter. He said that the counter would provide adequate facility to people with disabilities.

People with disabilities can get any information regarding pension related matters from the counter. A district representative of the social security office will attend to them.

A special camp was also organized for disabled people at the SBAC Senior Secondary School in Bajwara on Saturday.

The camp was to help disabled people fill up forms for services such as disability certificate, disability pension, health insurance scheme 'Niramaya', wheelchairs, and identity cards (UDID).

Various government departments took part in the camp.

Representatives of the District Social Security Department, Health Department, and Department of Education were present at the camp.
