After losing a kidney to TB, this disabled man from Bengaluru is set to become a doctor

Sukesh M S was only 17 years old when his left leg had to be amputated. The leg had turned gangrenous and doctors were left with no choice.

While he was under treatment, Sukesh was diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB) of the kidneys. One his kidneys had to be removed.

Sukesh's mother donated her kidney and he underwent a kidney transplant. He went on to do a medical degree from the Vydehi Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre in Bengaluru.

Now this vegetable vendor is all set to become a doctor in 2019.

Sukesh says he has overcome many difficulties and that has made him positive. While he was waiting for the kidney operation, he could attend classes only three days a week.

His parents are proud of what Sukesh has achieved, given their poor background.
