Rajasthan government to provide free smartphones for the blind
The government of Rajasthan is all set to introduce smartphones that can be used by the blind. These mobile phones will be distributed for free.
This initiative by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been welcomed by people with disabilities in the state.
Rajasthan has 3,14,618 blind people. These exclusive phones for the blind will not be available in the market. They will only be distributed by the government.
A similar project was implemented in Himachal Pradesh a few months back. The success of that project led the Rajasthan government to introduce the scheme in this state.
The government is speeding up the process to make phones available to people who are blind as soon as possible.
Smartphones and technology have become an important aspect of our lives. With the help of such government schemes, blind people can get to keep in pace with technology.
