National Abilympic Association of India invites applications from disabled people

The National Abilympic Association of India (NAAI) was formed in the year 2001 to enable disabled people to become independent.

This is done by encouraging skills and talents of the disabled people in India.

Various vocational skill competitions are organised by the NAAI that can be used to identify the potentials of people with disabilities and help them realize their talents.

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and the NAAI jointly organize regional and national events, and facilitate participation in the International Abilympics.

NAAI is now inviting applications from interested candidates to take part in various events.

Applications are invited from people with disabilities and the participants need to be 18 years and above.

They can apply under 20 different skill categories of Computers/Crafts/Industry & Food mentioned in the application form.

This initiative will also focus on providing the young participants build necessary skills and explore employment opportunities for them.

The schedule for the MSDE and NAAI events is as follows –

  1. Last date of submission of entry forms – 15th April, 2018

  2. Regional assessment & selection camps - April to June, 2018

  3. National Abilympic event – 15th to 17th July, 2018

  4. Preparation for international event and exploring employment opportunities – 2018 to 2020

  5. International Abilympics in Shanghai, China - 2020.

Interested institutes and participants can submit their applications in the form downloadable from NAAI website.

These forms can either be posted at the address mentioned below, or sent as scanned copies on the NAAI email id.
