Senior citizens in Navi Mumbai to protest against demolition of library by authorities
Senior citizens in Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai have planned a fast to protest against the demolition of a library by the anti-encroachment department of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC).
They say that civic officials are targeting the library selectively and are determined to get the library back.
The protest has been planned by the president of Jesht Nagrik Sevabhavi Sanstha (JNSS) president Dinkar Pawar and his associates.
The NMMC anti-encroachment department demolished the library in Sector 4 in Ghansoli. The library was free for public use.
The senior citizens had protested at the time of action, but officials went ahead.
