Various events to be held in Nagpur to spread autism awareness

The Prayas School for Children with Special Needs will mark World Autism Awareness Week from 31 March to 5 April by organizing many cultural and educational programmes. Rallies will also be held.

World Autism Awareness Day is observed on 2 April. Awareness programmes will be held at Chhapru Nagar Garden, NIT Garden, Japanese Garden, and Dattatray Nagar Garden.

A rally titled Walk for Autism will be organized on 2 April from Sarvoday Ashram. This will end at Traffic Park, Dharampeth, where a cultural programme will take place.

An outdoor visit for students with autism will be held on 5 April.

A workshop on neurological disorders will be conducted by paediatric neurologist Dr Amarjeet Wagh on 6 April. Friday.

Many people lack information about autism and tend to misbehave with people with autism or look at them weirdly. These events aim to change those attitudes.
