Movie business will be affected after Salman Khan’s sentence

Bollywood actor Salman Khan was sentenced to five years in prison in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case yesterday. The actor spent the night in Jodhpur Central Jail.

The other co-accused of the case were let go, these included actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam Kothari.

Salman will be appealing to higher courts against the sentence.

As per the experts of the Indian film industry a large amount of money is on stake as Salman is working on some very big budget projects.

According to a report an estimated Rs 400 to Rs 600 crore is dependent on the actor in the industry.

The court’s verdict will affect the major film projects of the star.

Salman was currently shooting for the ‘Race 3’ Movie which is expected to release in June.

Other big upcoming movies include ‘Kick 2’, ‘Dabangg 3’ and ‘Bharat’.

If Salman goes to jail for a long duration the fate of the movies dependent on him will be affected and may result in huge losses for the producers.
