Battery-operated car service started at Nagpur railway station

Two battery-operated cars have been launched at the Nagpur railway station for the elderly and people with disabilities. This comes after a wheelchair lift was launched as well.

In May 2017, the battery-operated cards were run as a social service by NGOs. These were later shut down as costs were too high. Now the two cars will be available again at a charge of Rs 50 per person.

The cars will be operated by Patna-based firm Aircon Private Limited. The firm has posted two drivers to operate the cars. The car will also be available over phone - 8605330033.

The Railway Ministry had promised to start mobile application for booking the cars, but this facility will not be available on app.
