Uttarakhand to host international wheelchair cricket tournament
The state of Uttarakhand is all set to host an international tri-nation wheelchair cricket tournament. The event is from 7-10 March.
The cricket matches will be held at Gandhi Park in Rudrapur.
India, Bangladesh and Nepal will participate in the wheelchair cricket tournament. It will be played in a T-20 format.
The opening match will be between India and Bangladesh.
The international wheelchair cricket will be organized by the Uttarakhand Wheelchair Cricket association. The Uttarakhand Minister for Sports, Arvind Pandey will be present at the opening ceremony.
Atul Srivastava is the captain of the Indian wheelchair cricket team. He said that cricket for disabled people is a message to the world that people with disabilities are no different from others.
