Bengaluru yoga teacher takes free classes to promote power of positive thinking

Early every day, walkers at Bengaluru's Cubbon Park can spot a large number of people doing yoga on mats.

Their teacher is Preeti. A yoga teacher, she has been leading people through sessions made up of yoga, meditation, breathing techniques, stretching exercises, and the power of positive thinking.

The classes are held for free every day from 5.45 AM to 7.15 AM. She has 40-50 students, who are hooked to these classes.

Preeti first started working in the villages of her home state Haryana. She moved to Bengaluru about two years ago. The 27-year-old promotes a philosophy of clean eating, clean thoughts, and clean actions to improve the quality of one’s life.

Preeti said she started exploring a healthy lifestyle a few years ago as she was in a poor shape, physically and mentally. She was overweight, depressed, and looking for mental piece and balance.

She started looking for ways to improve herself and help others. Her students say that the classes have helped changed their lives for the better.
