Chandigarh rehabilitation center is changing the lives of disabled people
The Chandigarh Spinal Rehab Centre is successfully changing lives of people with disabilities.
It currently houses around 30 men and women with spinal-cord injuries and multiple disabilities.
The centre helps them learn life skills and realize their potential.
The founder and chief executive officer is Nicky P Kaur.
The center has helped people with disabilities regain their feeling of independence and worth.
Patients meet at the rehab center meet at 8.30 AM every day for classes in self-motivation, counselling, music therapy, and outdoor games like basketball. There are regular exercise sessions as well.
Every Friday, there is a fun-filled tombola session.
The therapy team at the centre includes four physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, and an independent skills trainer. The centre is open for patients from all parts of India.
