IPL matches shifted from Chennai to Pune due to security concerns
In view of the ongoing Cauvery protests in Tamil Nadu, the remaining Indian Premier League - IPL matches will not be played in Chennai due to security concerns.
The matches that were scheduled in Chennai will now be played in Pune.
The state of Chennai is facing massive protests on due to the Cauvery water sharing dispute.
IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said that earlier the Chennai police had assured of adequate security arrangements to be made for the matches.
However, the police has now informed the Chennai Super Kings- CSK that they wouldn't be able to provide security.
As a result the sale of tickets for the match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals on April 20 has been postponed.
