88 percent Delhiites lack Vitamin D that causes muscle pain and depression, says new study
According to a recent study, 8 out of 10 people in New Delhi lack Vitamin D. This nutrient is important for the well-being and health of an individual. Vitamin D deficiency can cause chronic muscle pain, depression, spasms and low energy levels in a person. The study was brought out by Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM). The study also stresses on the importance of Vitamin D in the diet of a person.
The survey was conducted on people between the age group of 21 to 65 years. In that, 55 percent of them fall under the age group of 20 to 29 years. People between 30 to 39 years constitute 26 percent.
The ASSOCHAM Healthcare Committee and its members are all set to hold a series of free medical camps for people in Delhi. Check-ups and counselling will be provided to people who have health issues.
