Internet made by ancient Indians, says Tripura Chief Minister
The Chief Minister of the Tripura Biplab Deb, is being trolled on social media for claiming that ancient Indians created the Internet!
Deb made these comments at a public function. He said that the Internet and satellites were invented by ancient Indians hundreds of thousands of years ago.
He also said that Internet and satellite communication have been present in India since the times of the Mahabharata and was used by the kings.
Deb is a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. His comments have become a hot topic on Twitter.
This is not the first time that BJP leaders have made such statements.
In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said cosmetic surgery existed in ancient India.
