You can now recharge your number on Facebook!
Facebook has started a new feature in India that allows Android users to recharge their prepaid mobile numbers.
To use the feature, Facebook users can click on the three horizontal lines (≡) next to notifications tab.
There a 'Mobile Recharge' section is now available. The option is available on the latest version of Facebook’s Android application.
The users get the option to choose their plan and pay for the recharge amount.
Once they enter the mobile number, the app will automatically detect the service provider network. Facebook currently supports Visa and MasterCard payments only.
Facebook will also show a detailed log of payments history.
Users can also save card details and verify payment through a One Time Password (OTP).
Users get a notifications on the mobile and desktop, once payment is successfully completed.
Some reports claim that Facebook has plans to start a new payment service in India and it is being tested currently.
