Common skin problems in summer
Human skin is the largest organ and gets easily affected by the changes in environment. Summer heat and dryness causes skin problems such as acne, rashes, irritations and more.
Here are a few common heat related problems and their cures.
- Prickly heat
Prickly heat, or heat rash, occurs when you remain in a hot environment for a long time.
These are small, raised spots on the skin that cause itching and irritation.
It is advisable to stay out of the sun as much as possible. Wearing loose fitted cotton cloths is also recommended.
- Fungal infections
Sweating and lack of hygiene during the summer season can cause fungal infections.
Wearing very tight clothes and not keeping the skin clean is the main reason for infections to grow.
Use anti-fungal powders for smaller infections.
It is advisable to visit a doctor and get treatment to avoid the infection from spreading.
The best way to take care of the skin during summer is to maintain hygiene and keep yourself clean.
Wear loose fitting cotton clothes and stay away from the harsh sun if possible.
