Student with dyslexia scores 94% in second pre-university exams
Aditya Bharadwaj, who has dyslexia, has scored 94.4% in his second pre-university (PU) exams. He is one among the 18 students from Karnataka to win an award in psychology this year as well.
A student of Jain PU College in Bengaluru, this 17-year-old has difficulty in writing, not learning. That is why he was determined to pursue his studies. Aditya wrote the exam with the help of a scribe and scored a distinction in all the subjects. He scored a 100 in psychology, 96 in sociology, 92 in economics, 88 in history, and 96 in English!
Sushma Bharadwaj, Aditya’s mother, realized that he had dyslexia when he was just four years old. He studied in a special school till class 10.
Sushma and Aditya are all praise for the teachers and faculty at Jain PU College. Sushma says that the teachers were extremely helpful and cooperative.
597 students with dyslexia wrote the second PU exams this year from Karnataka. Of the total number, 324 passed.
