Some home remedies for acne
Acne and pimples are the most common skin related problems all over the world. Chemical or medicinal treatments are expensive and may also cause side effects.
Here are some simple home remedies that may provide relief from acne.
- Apply Apple Cider Vinegar
Vinegar is known to be effective against many types of bacteria and viruses.
Apple cider vinegar should be used to clean skin. Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar and 3 parts water, never use concentrated vinegar as it may burn the skin and cause irritation.
Apply the diluted mix with cotton ball on skin and wash off water after 5- 20 seconds.
This can be done 1 to 2 times every day.
Honey and cinnamon are excellent sources of antioxidants and can be used for treating acne. Mix 2 tablespoons honey and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together to form a paste. Apply the mask to clean face and leave it on for 10–15 minutes. Wash with water and pat dry.
- Green tea is one of the most popular health fad these days. It contain antioxidants that are good for the skin.
Soak green tea in boiling water for 3–4 minutes. Once it cools down, use a cotton ball to apply tea to skin or pour into a spray bottle to spray on. Let it dry, then rinse with water and pat dry.
Exfoliate regularly to remove dead skin cells.
- Make a scrub as follows and use it at least once a week.
Take powdered sugar or salt and mix with coconut oil. Apply on the skin and scrub very gently in circular motions. Then wash off with water and moisturize.
