IPL 2018 - Rajasthan Royals to wear pink during today's match to promote a cause

Rajasthan Royals team will be seen in pink jerseys when they play their IPL match against Chennai Super Kings today.

The pink jersey has been designed to create awareness about the early detection and screening of cancer.

The uniform will have a mix of three colours to depict the most common types of cancer. These are pink for breast cancer, teal for cervical cancer, and burgundy for oral cancer.

The coin toss ceremony before the match will be attended by some children who are cancer survivors.

As part of the Rajasthan Royals’ Cancer Out Campaign, team members Ajinkya Rahane, along with Heinrich Klaasen, Krishnappa Gowtham and Mahipal Lomror underwent a screening for cancer themselves.

These gestures are to encourage people to get early cancer screening done so that the deadly disease can be detected on time.
