Jammu & Kashmir beat Himachal Pradesh in Physically Handicapped Cricket Tri-Series
The Jammu & Kashmir Handicapped Cricket team registered a big win in the Physically Handicapped Cricket Tri-Series. They beat Himachal Pradesh by seven wickets in Mandi.
The Himachal Pradesh team batted first and scored 168 runs in 25.5 overs, losing all their wickets. Rintu Jaiswal (29), Hemraj (28), and Kuldeep Thakur (19) were the big scorers.
From Jammu and Kashmir, Jagmohan Singh took 3 wickets, while Amir Rather, Nadeem Bhat and Vaishnu took 2 wickets each, while Vivek Sharma claimed 1 wicket.
J&K chased the target in 16.3 overs by losing 3 wickets, and won the match. Firdous Ahmad scored a brilliant century (101 runs off 52 balls), with 22 boundaries. Vivek Sharma and captain Syed Shah contributed 28 and 26 runs to the total.
Firdous Ahmad was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
The J&K Physically Handicapped Cricket team was formed three years back with the help of J&K Police and Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu.
