Delhi hit by a massive storm, power supply affected in many areas

A huge storm, along with rain, affected many parts of Delhi on Wednesday morning. Trees were uprooted and electricity supply was affected in many areas. There have been no reports of deaths so far due to the storm.

This is the second storm to hit the Capital in the past four days. Over 50 people were killed in the last storm that had hit north India three days back. Two of those killed were in Delhi.

Power distribution companies have been put on high alert but restoring power supply may take several hours.

On Sunday, a violent dust storm, followed by rain and lightning had brought down walls and uprooted trees throughout Delhi. Over 40 flights had been diverted from Delhi airport as well.
