Another All India Institute of Medical Sciences to be started in Jharkhand
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is all set to start at Deoghar in Jharkhand. The Union Cabinet approved the project on Wednesday. The project is estimated to come up to Rs 1,103 crore. It will be funded by the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna.
The AIIMS at Deoghar will be a huge project with more than 750 beds for patients. There will be trauma facilities inside AIIMS.
More than 100 students can enrol for courses every academic year. There will be courses in nursing as well. Sixty seats will be available every year for nursing courses.
Authorities have planned to build 15 operation theatres at the AIIMS in Jharkhand. There will be a department for treating patients using the traditional Ayush’ method as well. This department will have at least 30 beds.
The setting up of this new AIIMS will provide better health care to people in Jharkhand. It will also provide job opportunities to local doctors as well.
AIIMS has already been established in Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Raipur, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, and Patna under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna.
