Rajinikanth’s 'Kaala' will not be released in Karnataka

Fans of Rajinikanth may not be able to see the movie 'Kaala' in Karnataka this June.

Superstar Rajinikanth is facing some tough opposition from the people of Karnataka over his political stand over the Cauvery water issue.

Rajinikanth's upcoming movie 'Kaala' will not be released in Karnataka as the distributors are not willing to release it.

This has been declared by the President of the Karnataka Films Chamber of Commerce – KFCC, Sa Ra Govindu.

The anger against the actor came after he supported the ruling by the Supreme Court that ordered Karnataka to give Tamil Nadu its share of Cauvery water.

As per reports, pro-Kannada groups demanded a ban on 'Kaala' in Karnataka and wrote to the KFCC after which the decision was taken.

'Kaala' is a much awaited movie of Rajinikanth and its trailer has already scored 2.5 million views on YouTube. The movie is expected to be released on 7 June 2018.
