Maharashtra Road Transport Corporation celebrates 70th anniversary, gives concession to elderly

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is celebrating their 70th anniversary, and it is observed as Transport Day across the state. As part of the celebrations, MSRTC is all set to give 45% and 30% concessions to senior citizens on their bus journey.

The fares will be reduced in their luxury Shivshahi busses. Officials from MSRTC said that the concessions will be implemented from 1 June. This will be available for inter-city busses and long distance sleeper class busses from Pune to Nashik.

This will be a blessing to elderly people who are travelling across the state in MSRTC busses.

Officials said that MSRTC is revamping all their busses. Ever since Shivshahi busses started plying, more people have started using the government run bus service. This luxury bus has made travelling easier and comfortable for people in Maharashtra.

Apart from that, MSRTC will ensure clean busses and bus stands through regular drives. Officials have asked drivers and ticket checkers to be very polite to passengers as well.
