Kerala government will pay for treatment of Nipah virus patients
The government of Kerala has announced that patients infected with Nipah virus will not have to pay their treatment fees.
The government will bear the cost of treatment Nipah virus patients in Kozhikode and Malappuram.
This announcement was made by the state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. CM Pinarayi Vijayan also praised the health department and its officials for their work.
He said that health officials in Kerala have been the quickest to control the spread of the virus as compared to other countries.
At preset more than 2000 people in the state have been kept under observation in view of the Nipah threat.
The government has also declared that all these people will be provided free ration.
The government has assured that the virus cases have been controlled and there is no more fear of its spreading now.
