Disabled people to get an exclusive gallery at this year's Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra
The Rath yatra is one of the most popular festivals held at Puri in Odisha. Thousands of people throng the event to pay respects to Lord Jagannath. But disabled people often find it difficult to attend this festival due to the huge crowd. But this year onwards, the organizers are going to introduce something exclusively for disabled people.
Puri District Collector Arvind Agarwal confirmed that the district administration will put up an exclusive independent gallery on the terrace of Jagannath Ballav Matha at Badadanda. This gallery will help disabled people get a better view of the festival without being affected by the maddening crowd.
The news was confirmed after a meeting that was attended by many senior officials from the Puri district administration.
The officials ensured that the rath yatra has already been organized and planned well. All the arrangements will be completed before the deadline. This year too, rath yatra will be smooth and hassle-free.
