Wheelchair basketball camp held at Mohali in Punjab
In today’s world, wheelchair basketball is one of the most popular sports amongst disabled people. Not only is it a sport for recreation, but wheelchair basketball is ideal to stay fit as well. The Wheelchair Basketball Federation of India (WBFI) is one of the most popular organizations in the country that holds exclusive camps and competitions for disabled people.
Their latest one was a workshop for wheelchair users at Mohali in Punjab. The two day camp was hosted at the Sector 78 multipurpose indoor stadium in Mohali.
More than 24 players, including 2 women, participated in the workshop.
Organizers said that their main aim is to promote the game amongst disabled people in Mohali. They want to provide training to aspiring players and future coaches as well! This will also help in promoting the importance of playing basketball in order to stay fit.
The wheelchair basketball camp was organized in partnership with the Punjab State Institute of Sports. The camp ended on Thursday.
