Fans damage wax statue of Virat Kohli

Fans of Virat Kohli got too excited and damaged his newly unveiled wax statue in Delhi.

Virat’s wax statue was unveiled at Madame Tussauds in Delhi on Wednesday and was damaged on the same day.

As per reports, hundreds of fans of the young cricketer had gathered at the museum to witness the unveiling of the statue.

However, they could not resist clicking selfies with the statue. There were so many fans at the Delhi studio of Madame Tussauds taking their pics, that the right ear of the statue got damaged.

The top part of the ear broke off! The statue was removed from the display and was sent to the workshop for repairs.

The life like statue was created in almost six months. Team of expert artists from the museum in London and artists in Delhi had worked together to make the statue.

More than 200 measurements and images of the Virat Kohli were taken to make a realistic looking statue.

After Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev, Virat is the third Indian cricketer have his statue placed in the sports zone of the wax museum.
