Bihar's new Commissioner for Disabilities is a man with a mission!

Inclusion for disabled people is often difficult to due to government apathy and lack of initiatives by authorities. It is high time that this state of affairs change. Bihar is on its path to follow inclusion, thanks to it's new state commissioner for disabilities!

Shivajee Kumar joined his office last April. He is already finding ways to make lives of disabled people in Bihar easy.

Kumar ensures that people with disabilities will be given their rights. He has been holding mobile courts across Bihar. This way, disabled people can raise their concerns and talk about their grievances without having to visit government offices and courts.

Certificates were also handed over to disabled people from this mobile court. A similar mobile court will be held at Bettiah in West Champaran district from 10 to 12 June.

People who violate the disability act will be strictly punished. The government has also started a helpline number for disabled people.

Kumar said that he will use all his government powers to make sure that justice is served to disabled people in Bihar.
