Doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have discovered new Type 4 diabetes. According to doctors, Type 4 diabetes affects the ocular of the eye and brain tissues as well. This new type of diabetes will also help in understanding, diagnosing and studying glaucoma better.
A doctor from the research team said that millions of people will be affected by glaucoma by 2030. It is uncontrolled, and no medicines have been found to completely cure a person from glaucoma. A study on Type 4 diabetes might enhance the research prospects on glaucoma.
