Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri equals Lionel Messi’s score

Indian footballer and the captain off the Indian team Sunil Chhetri helped win the Intercontinental Cup final win against Kenya on Sunday.

The Indian team won by 2-0 and both the goals were scored by Chhetri.

Sunil Chhetri has become the second best active international goal-scorer in the world after the recent match.

Sunil Chhetri has scored 64 international goals equaling the sore of the Argentina team captain Lionel Messi. Chhetri is now just behind Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal who has scored 81 goals.

Chhetri has managed to score 10 goals in his last six matches.

Intercontinental Cup final was played at the Mumbai Football Arena and the match was super exciting.

The win will surely boost the morale and confidence of the Indian team. India’s next tournament is the SAFF Cup in September.
