Online seminar for parents of disabled people by National Institute of Speech and Hearing

The National Institute of Speech and Hearing- NISH is organizing a webinar this month. The topic of the online seminar is “Communication: Methods other than Speech” and will take place on 16 June.

The seminar will be hosted to educate the parents of disabled children about communication methods.

The aim of the Malayalam webinar is to create awareness among parents and caregivers of disabled kids who have communication impairments.

Ms. Sangeetha G.S., the Speech Language Pathologist from the Department of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology at NISH will lead the online seminar.

The programme will allow the parents and caretakers of disabled people to get answers and solutions for their queries and concerns.

The timing of the online programme is from 10.30 am to 12.50 am. The public can access the webinar by registering online at http://nidas.nish.ac.in/be-a-participant/.

To access the webinar and be a part of it, the attendees will require high speed internet connection with laptop/PC/Mobile phone/Tablet to watch the webinar.

To be able to interact after the one hour presentation by the speaker, a microphone and webcam will also be needed.
