Manipur government steps in with support for family with 4 blind children

A family from Manipur, with four blind children, has been struggling to make a living. After hearing about their plight, the Manipur government came forward and has offered assistive help to the blind girls under government schemes.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has instructed officials to provide assistance at the earliest. The children will also be given the Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) card and a monthly stipend of Rs 1,500. Their family members will also be given benefits.

Singh said that most disabled people in Manipur are unaware of government schemes. He added that authorities will be given strict orders to ensure that disabled people have a better quality of life in Manipur.

These schemes and benefits will become a huge blessing to the four girls who are from a village in Manipur.
