Mass marriage for disabled people to be held in Tamil Nadu this November
Finding the right partner for a disabled person is not a difficult task anymore. There are many websites and mobile apps that connect likeminded people. Now, Tamil Nadu is all set to host a mass marriage function for people with disabilities!
The Sree Geeta Bhavan Trust in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Differently Abled Charitable Trust is organizing the event at a hall at Gopalapuram in Chennai. Swayamvaras will be held at different parts of Tamil Nadu before the main event that will be held on 4 November!
Authorities want to ensure that the event is successful. They are taking all precautionary measures for that. The trust has already selected interested participants from across the state.
Applications are still invited. People can apply through online forms that are available in English and Tamil. Authorities pointed out that a psychologist, psychiatrist, gynaecologist, general physician and a lawyer will be present at the event in order to avoid any confusions.
Those who get married at the event will also be provided with a marriage certificate under the Tamil Nadu Marriage Registration Act.
The participants will have to undergo an HIV test as well. Transport will be arranged to get to the venue. Brides will be provided with a gold mangalyam and silver toe rings as well!
