West Bengal to host an exclusive township for kids with autism

West Bengal is on it's path to create something new and unique. They are all set to own a township that caters to children with autism!

The project was announced by the State Urban Development and Municipal Affairs department a few months ago. Various proposals of more than Rs 39,000 crore have already been received.

Authorities confirm that this new township will be one of its kind in the world. It will have all facilities for children with autism and will be barrier-free. There will be a hospital, residential complex, school, day-care centre, conference hall, and training facilities at the township. All of these will cater exclusively to the needs of autistic children.

As of now, the project will be set up across 50 acres at South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal. Officials point out that the project will be completed in four years time, and Rs 600 crore will be spent on it.

Officials also plan to begin an exclusive college for children with autism.
