At least three killed in heavy rainfall in Mumbai

Mumbai was badly affected by heavy rainfall yesterday. At least three people are reported to have killed in the last 24 hours in different parts of the city due to rains.

Water clogging affected the traffic on roads and also caused delayed trains as tracks were covered in water.

15 parked cars were buried under debris when the part of a compound wall of a residential complex in Antop Hill in Wadala collapsed.

A 15-year-old boy died after falling into an open pit and drowning in the suburb of Malad while a 13-year-old was killed in the Thane region due to a wall collapse.

Some offices were closed early and employees were sent back home.

As per the weather department, the heavy rains are expected to continue today as well.
